New America Builds Coalition Launches to Improve Federal Permitting Process
Streamlining permitting will unlock private investment in American infrastructure and manufacturing
Washington, D.C. – America Builds, a new, bipartisan coalition, launches today to advocate for improvements to federal permitting that can unlock private investment in American energy infrastructure and manufacturing. The coalition seeks to streamline, strengthen, and speed permit reviews to provide the certainty and confidence project developers need to build the next generation of innovative technologies in the United States.
“Our goal is to accelerate investment in American energy production, grow domestic supply chains, and reduce global emissions through effective policy and advocacy,” said Emily Domenech, Co-Chair, America Builds. “If we want to remove roadblocks to energy and manufacturing projects and strengthen investments in America’s diverse energy supply, we need to move beyond rhetoric and get to work on real policy.”
America Builds will develop bipartisan consensus to advance policies to boost domestic energy production, reduce our reliance on foreign supply chains, accelerate emissions reductions, and strengthen America's global competitiveness.
“We no longer have years to wade through red tape to make America the leader in energy technologies that will power the rest of the 21st century. We are committed to achieving comprehensive and bipartisan permitting reform that ensures we can produce, manufacture, and build in America regardless of politics in Washington,” said Tony Kreindler, Co-Chair, America Builds.
